At Greenzone, we strive to deliver substantial long term value to our clients. We measure our impact socially, environmentally and as a business partner by focusing on three key areas:

People

Our business is dependent on the relationships that we build and continue to nurture, internally and externally with the wider community.

Greenzone recruits and invests to retain the right people. We are members of the CIWM and the Supply Chain Sustainably School, facilitating training and personal development. Our online learning and development portal keeps an up to date record of all learning.

We have adapted our security and processes, and invested in equipment to facilitate hybrid working and facilitate flexible working where possible.

We support local charities, schools and national fundraising initiatives.

Planet

Greenzone holds ISO 14001 and is a proud winner of a Green Apple Award for our continued efforts to protect our environment. As a business we’ve already made changes to our day to day operations that dramatically reduce our carbon footprint and will help us  reach our carbon net zero target by 2030.

At Greenzone we take moving to Net Zero Seriously. We have an ambitious but achievable plan to move to net carbon emissions by 2030.

We have analysed our business to identify what processes directly impact our carbon footprint and where we can reduce carbon emissions as much as possible.

We are actively targeting transport (company fleet is electric / hybrid). We work with local suppliers to reduce carbon emissions. Car sharing is encouraged.

DEV software is currently hosted in the cloud, all systems will move to the cloud in the next 24-36 months. Virtual meetings are encouraged where possible and our website is carbon neutral.

Installation of solar panels by 2025 and ground source heat pumps by 2030 in all buildings. All buildings currently have intelligent lighting.

Sustainable offsetting has been introduced for the emissions which are operationally unavoidable at this stage with Tree Nation.

Internal waste management. We use the same processes internally as externally to minimise waste production.

Net Zero activities shared on Microsoft Teams. CSR champions meet once a month to report on activities. CSR specialist presents at management meetings. New starter and employee training on all policies.

Supplier relationships are built on integrity and trust. Together we manage governance and risk around health and safety.

As members of the Slave Free Alliance we have a ZERO tolerance to modern slavery.

64% of our supply chain are SME-sized local businesses and we are working with them to support our environmental objectives to increase recycling and divert waste from landfill.

Our Accreditations
