Composting involves the biodegradation of organic matter; food waste from households and commercial premises. Different composting facilities will tend to use slightly different methods yet the end result is most often ‘soil improver/fertiliser’.

The type of waste that can be composted varies depending on the composting plant. More modern plants that work at higher temperatures can generally take a greater variety of waste.

As an independent recycling and waste management company, we work in partnership with numerous Composting Facilities to ensure that:

• As much of your waste as possible is recycled or composted
• Where waste can be composted; that it is taken to the nearest reputable Composting Facility to keep the movement of waste to a minimum, ensuring the lowest possible carbon emissions.
• Your waste is composted at the most cost effective facility.

With the composting of waste becoming increasingly important, additional Composting Facilities are coming on stream all the time. We keep up to date with the latest projects ensuring as soon as facilities are available we are in a position to use them.

Besides Composting Facilities, we also use AD Plants (Anaerobic Digestion Plants) and Materials Reclamation Plants throughout the UK with the aim of reducing our customers waste costs.
